The Ebonyi State Governor, Francis Nwifuru, last night suspended 25 commissioners and 62 officials for snubbing state function.
In a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Monday Uzor, the governor said they were suspended for failing to attend an important government function.
The statement noted that the affected officials have been asked to proceed on an immediate one-month working suspension without salary, and are barred from signing any official documents during the period.
Affected are 25 commissioners, 14 senior special assistants, 24 special assistants and 22 permanent secretaries.
