Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, has cautioned residents against falling for politically motivated misinformation aimed at blackmailing the Federal Government over infrastructure challenges, particularly road conditions. He urged citizens to avoid being manipulated by “fifth columnists” using isolated issues to stir discontent, assuring that federal intervention plans are underway.

Addressing Resident in a state-wide Broadcast today, the governor also condemned attempts to distort public narratives and create discord through unfair comparisons and propaganda. He emphasized that development is a continuous journey, and Ekiti is making steady progress.

Reiterating his commitment to inclusive governance, Oyebanji noted that even his staunchest critics have acknowledged efforts to carry everyone along in decision-making. He described peace as the bedrock of progress and urged political leaders to discourage violence and division among their supporters.

While expressing disappointment over recent violent acts, the governor appealed to all stakeholders to put Ekiti’s unity above individual ambitions and maintain the state’s hard-earned reputation for peace.
