The Chief of Army Staff, Lt Gen. Olufemi Oluyede, has approved the redeployment of senior officers across command, instructional and staff appointments as part of efforts to strengthen leadership and enhance operational efficiency.
The announcement was made in a statement on Sunday by the acting Director of Army Public Relations, Lt Col Onyinyechi Anele.
According to the statement, new postings affected Principal Staff Officers at Army Headquarters, two General Officers Commanding, Corps Commanders, training school Commandants, and several Brigade Commanders.
Maj Gen AA Adeyinka has been appointed Chief of Logistics (Army), Maj Gen AA Adekeye as Chief of Personnel Management, Maj Gen TB Ugiagbe as Chief of Standard and Evaluation, Maj Gen AA Idris as Chief of Military Intelligence, and Maj Gen MO Erebulu as Provost Marshal.
Other changes include Maj Gen ASM Wase as GOC 1 Division/Commander Sector 1 Joint Task Force North West Operation FANSAN YAMMA, and Maj Gen CR Nnebeife as GOC 2 Division/Sector 3 JTF OPFY. Several training institutions also got new commandants.
Oluyede urged the redeployed officers to step up efforts against terrorism, insurgency and other threats, while assuring troops of continued welfare support.
