The management of Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital,Ado Ekiti has commended the staff for holding forth in the face of a national striking health worker for over three months which grounds hospitals.

Speaking at the monthly prayer meeting in the Hospital,the Chief Medical Director Kayode Olabanji noted that EKSUTH has been one of the few Health Institutions in this zone operating at full capacity. This was contained in a statement released by ‘Rolake Adewumi, the Head of Corporate Affairs.

According to him,this has put much pressure on the staff because of patients from within and outside Ekiti State.

The CMD noted that the medical personnel had been up and doing of delivering quality health care services to the people despite the increase in the number of patients who come on daily basis to access health care.

He pointed out that the medical personnel in the Hospital are aware  and have been working to appreciate the support of the state Governor Biodun Oyebanji at all times.

The EKSUTH boss added that the  determination of the Governor at making the Hospital a centre of excellence with the state of the art facilities cannot be over emphasized.

Prof. Olabanji appreciated Governor Oyebanji for standing up for the Hospital in times of need,saying the staff will not relent at reciprocating the good gesture of the Governor through their dedication to duties
