The National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has reportedly resigned.
Though the APC has not given any official statement, reports suggest the former Kano State Governor stepped down at the behest of President Bola Tinubu in the early hours of today.
Adamimogo FM, Nigeria can confirm Ganduje’s portrait had been removed and staff seen packing personal items, and files being moved out of his office at the APC national secretariat in Abuja.
Ganduje, appointed chairman in August 2023 after Abdullahi Adamu’s resignation, had faced legal challenges and zoning controversies, with some party members insisting the role should return to the North Central region.
Just months ago, he was also appointed Chairman of the FAAN Board by President Tinubu.
