A Lagos woman, Mrs Motunrayo Nnaemeka, has appealed to the public for help in locating her husband, Pastor Christian Nnaemeka, who has been missing since June 6, 2025.
Pastor Nnaemeka, 43, was last seen near their church in Lekki, where he had gone for prayers and a scheduled vigil.
According to his wife, he exhibited unusual restlessness in the days leading up to his disappearance.
Recalling the events, Mrs Nnaemeka said her husband had been unable to sleep on the night of June 5 and spent the time praying. The following morning, they visited their pastor for spiritual support, after which he chose to remain at the church ahead of the vigil.
Later that day, she said, “He went back to church with our daughter, while I went home with our son. When I asked him to come home, he said our daughter was unusually clingy and refused to leave.”
She was alarmed to find them later in the baptistery, with the child playing in water. “When I tried to take her home, he refused until the pastor intervened,” she added.
The pastor then attempted to cross the expressway with the child before fleeing the scene. He has not been seen since.
