Former Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi has criticized President Bola Tinubu’s frequent foreign trips, highlighting the nation’s ongoing economic and security challenges.

Obi in post on X expressed concern over Tinubu’s planned 12-day trip to Japan and Brazil, questioning the necessity of such extended absences during a period of national hardship.

Obi emphasized the importance of the President’s presence within the country, suggesting that Tinubu should focus on visiting Nigerian states to directly assess and address local issues.

He proposed that the President allocate time to visit each state, engage with citizens, and evaluate critical sectors such as healthcare and infrastructure.

The former governor of Anambra State also criticized the administration’s handling of economic policies, noting that many Nigerians are struggling with food insecurity and poverty. He urged the President to prioritize domestic governance and implement measures to alleviate the nation’s hardships.
